Western Ball!

Last Thursday night all cowboys and cowgirls, indians and outlaws, got together for one hum-dinger of a hoedown. ;)

Everybody looked so rugged! Look at Manny. He's really getting into it! ;)

Well, that's all I have to say about that.

Just Do It.

This Morning... I awoke, to a rainy day. A typical fall day in Oregon.
It was cold outside and I didn't want to get up, but I did.
My mom said, "Just Do It".

This Morning... I ran 20 miles.
It was very, very hard, but I made it.
When I hit 12 miles I was joined by 2 amazing friends, who I have to say, made me finish. I would've walked the end if it wasn't for them. They kept telling me, "Just Do It".

This Morning... I was reminded how blessed I am.
It's the little things that friends do for you that are the super amazing things. They encouraged me, told me to shut up so I wouldn't get out of breath, walked when I needed to walk, and stretched when I needed to stretch.
They also bought me coffee afterwards. :)

This Morning... with a little help.....
I Just Did It.

Beach Trip

{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

Preparing for a tea party...

Tomorrow at three o'clock almost every girl from church will be coming over to have tea on the porch.

This afternoon Joelle and I made lots of chocolate covered strawberries. Mmmmmm.... :)

Car Wash!

What to you get when you cross
-a group of teenagers with tons of energy.....
-a seven year-old boy that needs to be brought home from Africa...
-and lots of soap and water??

A CAR WASH!!!

We arrived at 11, set up our canopy, finished signs, and had a prayer time together.

Then we sent the 1st shift of sign holders out to the road to bring us some business.

Of course keeping each other cool was a must. I mean... what are friends for anyway??

Even our mom's helped out!

Ashley and I stole the guys' sunglasses. :) Stylin'...

Poor Joshua.... washing that big truck all alone.

Oh wait. Here comes some help.

Everyone did such a great job. It was so much fun, but very tiring.

We ended up making over $300. We gave all the proceeds to the Rue family to help them bring Tariku home. :)

We are all so tired afterwards so we went over to the Humlies where we crashed and watched a movie.
What a fun day!

:)
