Catching up

Here are some pictures I took with the intention of doing a separate blog post for each one. Well, I have a life. (And I want you to be able to see what I'm up to!) So all these pictures are lucky to make it into one post. ;)

For Brock's last baseball game Joelle, Mom and I made baseball cupcakes to hand out to the team and coaches. Luckily some didn't want any so we got to eat one ourselves! :)

On July 6th, Mom and Dad celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary!

Mom laid her wedding dress, and some photo's out on their bed along with a sign that read, "I would do it all again. Happy 20th!" We got to try on mom's gloves and it was fun hearing some of the memories from their wedding day. :)

I helped dad pick out these white roses for mom. She loved them. :)
A few days later we watched their wedding video which was very fun.
Boy, I'm sure glad they got married! ;P

We have a fawn at our house!

This is what I saw when I looked out my window the other afternoon.

They're so much fun to watch. :)

Just look at it! It's so tiny. Uhh... I just can't get over it. I LOVE watching them. :) Erin, you'd be in heaven. :)

On June 23rd, brock turned 15!

We invited grandma and grandpa over and had a fondu. Then Brock and I went English Country Dancing on Third St. I never thought I'd see the day when he'd do it. Esp. on his birthday! :)

Fun times.

I gave Brock a Whirly pop. :)

Mom and dad gave him....weights.  :)

So there you have it. Many things all in one post. I hope it wasn't to long.

;)

My toast was well.... toast.

As You probably already gathered from past posts I tend to make mistakes, generally in the kitchen.... while home alone. I really try not to be so haphazard but just don't know how I manage to pull it off almost everytime I'm home alone. Well this time I managed to light my toast on fire. My morning went a little something like this:

I'm home alone, and I'm reading my book on the couch. All of a sudden the smoke alarm starts going nuto!! Then I remember MY TOAST!! (It's been in for at least 15 minutes by now). So I run into the kitchen covering my ears while franticly searching for something to grab the toast with. I open the toaster and POOF oxygen gets in, and the toast is well... toast. Ahem! So it caught on fire right? So now I'm thinking "Oh please... why me?" Ya know?

So... *deep breath*... I grab it and run it outside, but then I think, "This is what I do when it's smoking, but this is ON FIRE!!" So I run back inside and dunk it in the sink. Then I call Joshua and ask him how to turn off the smoke alarm because I couldn't get ahold of my daddio. He tells me to wave a towel in front of it. (Thanks Joshua. I'm not a total dummy). So now I'm up on a stool waving a towel in front of it and it finally shuts up. So now I have all the doors and window open now and.... oh my. I wonder if my parents will let me stay home alone anymore... SOMETHING ALWAYS BURNS, BLOWS UP, CATCHES ON FIRE or OVERFLOWS. AH!!

Here's my ash toast right where it landed. When it was smoking I carried it outside and it just kind of disintegrated onto the porch.
I'm so thankful nothing caught on fire. It wasn't scary while it was happening because I was just trying to get it taken care of. Afterwards I realized how bad it could've been. I'm really trying to be good now and WATCH my toast until it's done and be MORE CAREFUL ALL THE TIME.

Whew.

Time for blogging just can't be found....

A post about our 4th of July by the river really is coming.
My apologies. Lot's of pictures and story telling takes more time then I seem to be able to find. :)
