snow day

So, I was going to write about how we didn't get any snow this winter, and how we had to make our own. We put them up in our windows to make ourselves feel better. A winter without snow? Come on!

I was planning on writing this yesterday.

Well, guess what I found when I woke up?

This...

A light dusting. But, none the less, Snow!

(Yes, 1/2 an inch is a big deal around here.)

So, then I was going to post these pictures and say that we ended up getting snow after all!

That's what I was going to post this morning. Weeel, you'll never guess what I woke up to this morning.

Yep, snow. 4 inches to be exact.

Fun, fun, super fun.

The first thing we did this morning, even before breakfast, was dig out our snow stuff and go romping around the property. We just didn't want to take the chance that it might melt before we got to eat some of it! :)

A little 3 year-old girl from our church told me, "God makes it snow. He throws it up, and it falls down on us... and then we eat it!"

                                        Happy snow day. :)

A very interesting and inspiring read.

"Eragon"
A great dragon book for fantasy lovers.

What words are there to express this amazing masterpiece?

The true, and inspiring story of Nicky Cruise and his rise from the Ghetto streets in a desperate search for a better way of life.

"Rachel's Tears"
The true story of Martyr Rachel Scott who was murdered at Columbine High.

So anyways, I just wanted to clue you in on some great books.

a girl and her birds

I'm obsessed with birds right now. Parakeets in particular. Oh my, how I wish I  could get one to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish...... till death do us part. (And no I'm not going to marry it. Psh, you goofy).

Let's just imagine this is my hand ok?

Ah, such fun, pretty birdies :)

The reason I can't get one (or 10) is because we live in a rental, and no indoor pets are allowed. Sad. So my new plan is to get the wild birds to come to me. Come spring I'm going to set up lots of feeders, bird seed and get out my camera. This should be very interesting. :) Hopefully they don't fly away to fast and I'm able to snap some shots to share with you on here.

Oh and while we're on the subject of birds, look at this cute egg I found this morning.
So tiny, we just didn't have the heart to eat it.

I was tempted to find out if it would be just as cute fried. I decided it wouldn't. :)

Photo Booth

Here are some photo booth pictures. :) I love photo booth!

I'm watching... always watching....
Sometimes (ok most times) when we take pictures on here, we end up laughing so hard that we start crying. Why is it that things always seem funnier and funner, (yes it's a word in my book...) when you're actually doing it?

Oh my word, is this me?

Sniffle

                                             Hahahahaha. :)

I must be crazy...

Marathons are for crazy people. 26.2 miles is a long way. I mean a LONG way. I never pictured myself running one, but here I am. Training for one. I have to go out 4 times a week, eat right, cross train and all the other stuff that goes along with it. It's hard, but it'll all be worth it in the end.
I must be crazy..... :)
